Navajo Rugs
Navajo-Rugs.net is a site where we talk about Navajo rugs and blankets. We bought our first Navajo rug in 1972 and it’s a subject we enjoy.
We have recently acquired the photos to make a nice royalty free stock photo site that shows the entire Navajo rug weaving process.
Recently we obtained a copy of Gladys Reichard’s “Spider Woman” which we plan to scan and publish on the site. This book was published in 1934 and details the authors experiences learning to weave Navajo rugs.
Many people are interested in Navajo rugs and there are about 6,300 searches per month for the term. I was surprised to see there are also another 1,800 searches for Navajo Blanket.
We have a variety of these rugs in storage and will be getting them out and photographing them for the website.
